About PM²

The PM² Methodologies Collection at the Interoperable Europe Portal serves as a resource hub with open PM² publications, trainings, and news. In the upcoming months, the collection will be enriched with translations, overviews, artefacts, and communication materials such as leaflets and promotional packages. The PM² Methodologies are one of many open-source solutions for digital public services which is promoted at the website.

Two other solutions were highlighted during the event. The European Interoperability Reference Architecture (EIRA) was presented by Juan Carlos Segura Fernandez-Carnicero, Semantic and Interoperability Senior Consultant. It provides guidelines on how to design and structure a digital public service so that is interoperable by design. The SEMIC Support Centre was showcased by Georges Lobos, Programme Manager at DG-DIGIT. The main goal of all SEMIC services is to deliver pragmatic support to help build an interoperable Europe. Both speakers shared that their teams use the PM² Project Management Methodology in their work for the European Commission.

The event concluded with presentation on the upcoming updates and new functionalities of the platform, shared by the Interoperable Europe Team.

The Interoperable Europe Act entered into force in April 2024 and it aims to better connect public services for people and businesses by facilitating cross-border data exchange and accelerate the digital transformation of the public sector. The use of JoinUp as the official Interoperable Europe Portal becomes effective in October 2024. The website is visited by over 345,000 users per year.
