Over 300 high-level policymakers, education and training experts, and social partners came together at CEDEFOP's 50th Anniversary Conference "Shaping Learning and Skills for Europe” on 27 May in Brussels to address Europe's evolving skills landscape.

With keynote addresses from EU Commission officials and Members of the European Parliament, alongside expert panel discussions with policy makers and partners, this conference served as a strategic forum for shaping next-generation policies that connect skills, competitiveness, and Europe's long-term prosperity. It emphasised vocational education and training (VET), upskilling, reskilling, and lifelong learning as key drivers of economic sovereignty and social cohesion.

"We are entering a new era where learning must be lifelong, lifewide, and future-fit", said CEDEFOP Executive Director Juergen Siebel. "This event shows that Europe is ready to work together to make that happen."

During the event, the PM² Methodologies were highlighted as a valuable addition to the agenda, emphasising the significance of project management skills, applicable across all sectors. The PM² Methodologies offer a framework for managing project, programme, and portfolios, aiding professionals and organisations in delivering impactful solutions and maximizing benefits across diverse initiatives.

The Methodologies Office presented a range of PM² resources, including PM² Guides, Artefact Templates, canvases, as well as free online training courses. These resources can greatly facilitate the upskilling and reskilling of professionals, providing them with essential tools to adapt and succeed in various industries. An information booth at the conference allowed participants to engage with PM² experts and explore the methodologies' potential benefits.
