The first German translation of the PM² Project Management Guide v3.1 was released in November 2025 and can now be downloaded from the Publications Office of the EU website.
This translation was made possible thanks to the collaboration of the EC Methodologies Office with the German Federal Office of Administration and the Open PM² Community. As always, the names of all contributors are acknowledged in the Annex A of the translation.
In addition to German, the latest version of the guide is accessible in English, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, and Portuguese. This expansion of language options underscores a commitment to multilingual accessibility, ensuring that the PM² methodology is readily available to professionals across Europe and beyond.
The availability of national language editions plays a key role in the adoption and institutionalisation of the PM² methodology within public administrations across EU Member States. Localised versions help remove language barriers, facilitate internal training and capacity building, and support the integration of PM² into national project governance frameworks. This strengthens the alignment of local practices with EU-wide standards and promotes consistent implementation of EU-funded projects.
The availability of the PM² Project Management Guide v3.1 in multiple languages reflects a strategic effort to foster inclusivity and cooperation among international project management communities. By providing diverse linguistic editions, the guide supports the exchange of knowledge and expertise across borders, encouraging collaborative efforts and shared advancements in project management practices.
This initiative empowers professionals to implement PM² methodologies with greater confidence and also strengthens the foundation for unified approaches in addressing complex, multinational projects, ultimately promoting excellence in the global project management landscape.
